Flax and Twine Workshop
Description
Mark Making with Botanical Inks
This popular workshop is offered both as a drop-in or as a 2 hour group session.
Drop-in
For community celebrations, open days and sustainability focussed events this activity works particularly well. It is a favourite for Earth Hour and Clead Air Day.
Suitable for all ages it provides a calm space to sit for a while and experiment with handmade inks on paper. The inks have a mind of there own and don’t always behave how you might expect! You just have to go with the flow. This activity fosters spontaneous creativity.
Alongside the activity we have visual information displays that use botanical inks and acrylic paints as examples for circular and linear economies. We invite people to decorate the displays with ink.
